Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of FormsLab and paid subscriptions to our software service.
Last updated: 24 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and FormsLab ("FormsLab", "we", "us", or "our") for access to the FormsLab website and form-building service at formslab.app (the "Service").
By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Merchant of Record (payments)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you purchase a paid subscription, your contract for payment and invoicing is with Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates), who act as the Merchant of Record. FormsLab supplies the software service. Payment card charges will appear on your statement under Paddle or the Merchant of Record name.
For payment, billing, invoice, and order-related enquiries, contact Paddle at paddle.net. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the transaction: Paddle Terms & Conditions.
2. The Service
FormsLab lets you create online forms, collect submissions, connect integrations (such as Google Sheets), and configure notifications. We may update, improve, or discontinue features from time to time.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
- Workspace owners may invite team members subject to plan limits described on our pricing page.
4. Plans, subscriptions, and billing
4.1 Free and paid plans
We offer free and paid subscription plans with different limits (forms, Google Sheets connections, team members, and features). Current limits and prices are shown on our pricing page.
4.2 Recurring billing
Paid plans are sold as subscriptions billed monthly or annually through Paddle. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal date at the then-current price.
4.3 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. If a price change affects your subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance unless you cancel.
4.4 Taxes
Paddle calculates, collects, and remits applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes where required as Merchant of Record.
4.5 Cancellation
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through your Paddle customer portal (linked from your receipt or via paddle.net). Cancellation stops future charges. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. Statutory rights that apply in your country are not affected.
6. Your content and forms
You retain ownership of forms, fields, and submission data you create. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service (including integrations you enable).
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any law or third-party rights
- Collect sensitive data without lawful basis and appropriate safeguards
- Distribute malware, spam, or deceptive content
- Attempt to breach security or abuse rate limits
7. Third-party services
The Service may connect to third-party services (e.g. Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, email providers). Your use of those services is subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policies.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, and branding, is owned by FormsLab or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or underlying technology except as needed to use the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FormsLab shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint about the Service, contact us at support@formslab.app. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 business days.
If your complaint relates to a payment or order, contact Paddle via paddle.net.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom and remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to your local consumer protection authority or alternative dispute resolution scheme where applicable.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. For paid subscribers, we will also notify Paddle of material changes affecting billing or refunds as required.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to FormsLab's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply where required.
